Westminster Theological Seminary’s Glenside campus construction ahead of schedule

Westminster Theological Seminary, located at 2960 Church Road in Glenside, has provided an update regarding the construction of the forthcoming Westminster Hall building.

According to their February 11 bulletin, building crews are ahead of schedule. The seminary hosted a “topping off ceremony” as the construction crew placed the final steel beam on the structure on Thursday, January 30.

Van Til Hall, built in 1979, was demolished in summer 2024 to make room for the new building, which will have “up-to-date amenities and architecture that inspires diligence and reflection.”

“Within the new academic building, constructed to harmonize with the stone architecture of our iconic Machen Hall, we will have the capability to implement the most recent technology to capture every aspect of the work of the seminary, and to make it available for our students globally, for Christ and His global church,” President Peter A. Lillback wrote. “Additionally, there will be a designated dining hall for daily meals with faculty, residential students, and staff.”
