Wall Park, home of Cheltenham Pickleball, highlighted among Philly Mag’s ‘Ultimate Guide to Pickleball Courts in the Philly Region’

Wall Park in Elkins Park and Life Time Fort Washington were recently highlighted in Philadelphia Magazine’s article titled “The Ultimate Guide to Pickleball Courts in the Philly Region”.

An excerpt:

One of the fastest-growing sports in the country, pickleball feels like the lovechild of tennis and ping-pong. Played with special paddles (slightly larger than those used for ping-pong) and a pickleball, single or double matches take place on a court that is about one-quarter the size of a tennis court. Below, our ultimate guide to Philly-area indoor and outdoor pickleball courts — some are free to play, others require memberships, but all guarantee a great time.

The article notes that Life Time Fort Washington, located at 375 Commerce Drive, offers three indoor courts, and Wall Park, located at 100 Wall Park Drive offers two permanent outdoor nets, plus four permanent-lined outdoor courts.

Wall Park is the home of Cheltenham Pickleball, a social-athletic club that has been steadily gaining popularity in the area. For our previous coverage of the club’s beginnings and current offerings, you can click here.
