Voyage Summer Program: 3-D Printers, Virtual Reality, Robotics

This is the last week of school for most kids in our area.  Cheltenham School District is offering a unique summer program for kids who are passionate about innovative technology.

The 2018 Voyage Summer program is an exploration on the theme “Innovating through Engineering.” Pennsylvania-certified teachers will lead students through a project-based learning model, exercising their curiosity, creativity, collaboration and critical-thinking skills to create, invent and innovate. The program will run in three standalone, week long increments, and students can register for any combination of weeks 1, 2 and/or 3. Each week’s Voyage will culminate with a public exhibition of learning. Students receive T-shirts, supplies and materials for projects and access to technology such as iPads, Chromebooks, 3-D printers, virtual reality and augmented reality, robotics, drones and programming and coding devices. All projects will come home with the students. Students must bring their own lunch and snacks, and may need “work” clothes as creating with art and construction materials can get messy.
