Volunteers from the Congregations of Shaare Shamayim in Elkins Park (Cheltenham Township) were featured by 6ABC for baking and delivering cookies to first responders and hospital workers across the region on Christmas Day.

According to their coverage, the decades-old tradition began as a way to thank those who must work during the holiday.

Their first delivery was to the Cheltenham Police Department. 6ABC’s video coverage is below:
