Upper Moreland Township officials approved an application on behalf of ATR Logistics to operate an outdoor vehicle impoundment lot at 1750 County Line Road in Huntingdon Valley.
The company submitted a Conditional Use application earlier this year to develop the 1.794-acre property, which also has a single-family home and a towing operation on the premises. A public hearing for the conditional use was held on April 1 and approved on May 6.
With the approval, the lot will be used for the storage, retrieval, or sales of vehicles that have been impounded by police or other lawful towing operations.
More details can be found in the township’s May 6 agenda.
In related news, the township has received an application on behalf of KRE Group which proposes to develop a four-story, 55-unit apartment complex next to Willow Pointe, an existing apartment complex at 2405 Maryland Road in Willow Grove.
The application states that the new complex would share amenities with the existing complex and calls for the construction of a 16,120 sf building with 55 one- and two-bedroom apartments on a 10-acre lot.
A public hearing was held on May 6.
