Governor Josh Shapiro of Abington Township and Eli Katz, an Elkins Park native, were recently featured by The Jewish Exponent.

Katz currently lives in Center City and works for D.C.-based Big League Advantage, where he analyzes minor league baseball players who the company’s models say are destined for success.

“We’ll give them a lump sum of money up front, and if they make the majors, they pay us back some percentage of their future salary,” he said. “Minor league players don’t make enough for a living wage. Top-level training, top nutrition [and more] all costs money. We help them get by and get ahead.”
