The Upper Moreland High School football team won their non-league season opener against Council Rock North by a score of 35-7.

Cheltenham and Abington dropped their first games of the year. The Panthers saw a 28-20 loss to the Wilson Bulldogs in a non-league game at Upper Merion, and the Galloping Ghosts lost 21-7 to Conrad Weiser.
For the Panthers, sophomore quarterback Kendall Jackson finished the game with 17 completions on 32 attempts for 242 yards. Carsen Giddiens held onto five catches for 63 yards while Ahsaiah “Zeke” Upchurch was the Panthers’ other leading receiver with 5 catches for 93 yards, PAFootballNews.com reported.
