Jack “Silk” Clark, a 2018 graduate of Cheltenham High School and one of the most highly rated boys’ basketball players in Panther history, recently announced that he will be transferring from North Carolina State to Clemson University for his final year of eligibility.
The transfer was officially recognized by Clemson coaches and officials on Monday. Clark is one of four transfers to join the Tigers for the 2023-24 season.
Last year was Clark’s first in the NC State program after playing three seasons at La Salle. He finished with 12 double-digit scoring games last year, including five in ACC play. While at La Salle, he scored 693 points and grabbed 338 rebounds.
“Jack is a versatile forward with very good size and length at the wing. He impressed our staff with his rebounding ability and possesses the tools to shoot and make plays from the perimeter,” Head Coach Brad Brownell said.
Clark is the son of former Cheltenham High School assistant principal Dr. Jill Parker Clark and will be a redshirt senior. He played three seasons at La Salle University and one season at NC State, where he averaged 9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.9 steals per game for the Wolfpack.
