Jack “Silk” Clark, Cheltenham standout, transferring to Clemson for final season

Jack “Silk” Clark, a 2018 graduate of Cheltenham High School and one of the most highly rated boys’ basketball players in Panther history, recently announced that he will be transferring from North Carolina State to Clemson University for his final year of eligibility.

The 6-8, 200-pound guard chose Clemson over Xavier, Villanova, and the University of Arkansas.

Clark is the son of former Cheltenham High School assistant principal Dr. Jill Parker Clark and will be a redshirt senior. He played three seasons at La Salle University and one season at NC State, where he averaged 9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.9 steals per game for the Wolfpack.

Clark scored a combined 17 points and grabbed a combined 18 rebounds in the two games he played against Clemson.

Clark was Pennsylvania’s fourth-ranked player in ESPN’s eyes in 2018. A torn ACL during his senior year was a major setback in his plans to explore offers from numerous D1 programs, including Penn State, St. Joseph’s, Rhode Island, Tulane, and George Mason.
