The Roslyn Fire Company announced that multiple crews were dispatched this morning to a vehicle fire at the intersection of Arline Avenue and Pershing Avenue in Abington Township.
Arriving firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and brought the incident under control, officials said.

A few hours later, at 8:52am, the Roslyn Fire Company was dispatched as mutual aid to the 3200 block of Bridlepath Lane in Upper Dublin to assist the Fort Washington Fire Company with a house fire.
All residents had safely exited the home before fire crews arrived, officials said.
“Fire was found on both the first floor and in the basement. While crews from Fort Washington Fire Company and Edge Hill Fire Company operated on the first floor, Roslyn crews advanced into the basement and extinguished the fire there,” the post said. “Firefighters from multiple companies then conducted extensive overhaul and salvage operations.”
The following companies provided mutual aid:
- Fort Washington Fire Company No. 1
- Abington Fire Company
- Weldon Fire Company
- Edge Hill Fire Company
- Glenside Fire Company
- Second Alarmer’s Association and Rescue Squad of Montgomery County
- Abington Township Police Dept.
