UPDATE 5:54PM: The Natinional Weather Service has just issued a severe thunderstorm warning for our coverage area (Cheltenham, Jenkintown, and Abington). It is in effect until 6:30 PM. This could produce winds up to 70 MPH.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for central Montgomery County in effect until 6 PM tonight.

At 524 PM, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Ivyland, or 15 miles north of Philadelphia, moving
east at 45 mph.
HAZARD…Tornado and two inch hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
Locations impacted include…Lansdale, Doylestown, Hatboro, Chalfont, Ivyland, Richboro,
Feasterville-Trevose, Feasterville, Horsham, North Wales, New
Britain, Churchville, Warminster Heights, Brittany Farms-Highlands,
Montgomeryville, Spring House, Village Shires and Maple Glen.
