Toll Brothers of Fort Washington files suit against Miami country club for breach of contract

Toll Brothers, the national Fort-Washington based homebuilding corporation, has filed a lawsuit against the owner of a defunct golf course in Boca Raton to enforce its agreement to purchase the 55-acre property, The Philadelphia Business Journal reported.

The company filed the complaint on January 31 in U.S. District Court against Miami-based Boca Raton Executive Country Club Corp (BRECC), which owns the former Hidden Valley Golf Course at 7601 E. Country Club Blvd.

According to the lawsuit, BRECC’s president signed a sales agreement in February 2024 for Toll Southeast to purchase the property. BRECC has since refused to close on the deal and is breaching the contract.

Toll Brothers has placed a hold on its title so the property can’t be sold while the lawsuit is pending, The Journal said.
