Tilly’s Empanadas, a forthcoming eatery located at the former FoodChasers (7852 Montgomery Avenue, Elkins Park), will host a one-day-only opening preview and community tasting on Saturday, September 19, during Elkins Park Skywatchers’ “International Observe the Moon Night”.
Ownership could not be reached for comment. Hector Ybe of Elkins Park Skywatchers told Glenside Local that Tilly’s will have a table at tomorrow’s event and are planning to start takeout soon.
The Elkins Park location is their second restaurant. Their first exists in Long Beach Island, New Jersey.

In related news, Cafe Jama-ica’s Inc. will host a grand opening on Saturday, October 3, at 582 Cottman Avenue in Cheltenham Township. The location is the former home of Pita Pocket Eatery, which closed for good in July.
