The Tookany Valley Chronicles: Pet Adoption Edition – Houdi

“Houdi is seeking a new home,” according to Ms. Katie Nagy, Humane Educator at the Montgomery County SPCA.

According to Ms. Nagy, Houdi is described in his SPCA file as a “4-year-old Miniature Pinscher and Basenji mix who was surrendered to the shelter due to his owners moving.  He is housebroken and should not go to a home with children, cats or other dogs as he does display some food possession issues. ”

“Houdi would love a home with adults who can give him the training and love he needs to reach his full potential as an amazing pet,” his SPCA file continued.

“Please contact the Montgomery County SPCA Abington location for more details and to request an application to adopt Houdi,” stated Ms. Nagy.

According to a statement from the Montgomery County SPCA, in order to adopt an animal you must:

• Have valid photo identification.

• Be at least 18 years of age.

• Be the owner/renter of a property or have the owner’s/renter’s permission (this includes adults living with their parents).

• Provide proof that pets are permitted under a rental/lease agreement (if applicable).
