Jenkintown Police along with units from Hatboro and Cheltenham have responded to what appears to be a domestic violence situation in the Beaver Hill West condominiums in Jenkintown.
There are SWAT teams on the scene and ambulances standing by. Heavily armed SWAT team members were seen patrolling the property.
Jenkintown Police issued an email saying that Beaver Hill residents were asked to “shelter in place.”
The Jenkintown Police Department is currently conducting an emergency response operation to a domestic situation at the Beaver Hill West Building on West Avenue. Residents of that building have been sheltered in place. The Montgomery County Tactical Unit is in route to the scene to assist the Department. The area of West, Runnymede and Florence Avenues will be temporarily closed for the safety of the general public as well as the Officers conducting the operation. Please avoid this area until the emergency response has been completed and the all clear has been issued.
