According to data from the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s 2023 Professional Personnel Individual Staff Report, superintendents in the Abington, Hatboro-Horsham, Upper and Lower Moreland School Districts are among the highest paid in the state.
Dr. Jeffrey S. Fecher of Abington School District and Dr. Scott T. Eveslage of Hatboro-Horsham School District are making $255,000 annually, which places them 19th-highest (tied) in the state.
Dr. Scott A. Davidheiser of Lower Moreland Township School District is making $245,000 per year, which is the 30th-highest in the state.
Dr. Susan Elliott of Upper Moreland Township School District is making $232,100, the 39th-highest in the state.
The average salary for superintendents and acting superintendents across the state is $159,333, according to the report. Superintendents in Montgomery County average $229,748, which is the fourth highest in the state behind Philadelphia, Chester, and Delaware counties.
Angelo G. Berrios III, former principal, assistant principal, and social studies teacher at Abington Senior High School, signed a three-year contract to serve as Pennridge School District’s superintendent last August. His salary starts at $210,000 a year.
