Detective Stephen Craig of the Springfield Township Police Department recently received two awards from the United States Secret Service and the National Computer Forensics Institute.

Detective Craig’s awards recognized his completion of 243 forensic exams for the last fiscal year and his use of digital forensics to help solve a string of gun store burglaries.

The “Significant Case” saw Detective Craig work along with Federal, County and local partners in 2022.

In 2015, Detective Craig was honored for his efforts in breaking up a burglary ring believed to have taken part in 23 burglaries in Springfield, Abington, Cheltenham, Lower Moreland and Lower Merion townships, according to The Reporter.
