The Abington Township Police Department announced that Rydal Road is closed between The Fairway and Frog Hollow Lane due to a fallen tree.

According to the department, the tree caused a disruption with the SEPTA railroad gates, which are “stuck in a down position but trains are still operational.”

Police said that SEPTA has been notified, and encourage residents to avoid the area if possible.

“DO NOT attempt to go around the gates,” the department said.
