Update: Officials said the road was reopened at 2:43pm.

The Lower Moreland Police Department announced this morning that Huntingdon Pike will be closed in both directions between Red Lion Road and Philmont Avenue until further notice due to a large water main break.

According to the report, the break is flooding the roadway and causing damage to the road surface.

Officials ask that drivers use caution and plan an alternate route.
