Abington Township announced today that Greenwood Avenue between Washington Lane and Meetinghouse Road will be closed from 7:00pm on Friday, June 21 through 5:00am on Monday, June 24 for stormwater improvements.

During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Meetinghouse Road, Route 73 (Township Line Road), and Route 611 (Old York Road).

The township also noted that residents of The Plaza and The Flats will be able to access their driveway off of Greenwood Avenue, as well as patrons of ACME and The Pavilion from Washington Lane.

On June 12, PennDOT announced that trail construction is scheduled on Greenwood Avenue in Abington Township during the same timeframe.
