John Gallagher, Chief of the Rockledge Police Department, recently shared details of two armed robberies in nearby Lawncrest.
According to Chief Gallagher, the Philadelphia Police Department released a Crime Pattern Alert yesterday regarding the robberies, both of which were committed along the Rising Sun Avenue business corridor.
The first incident occurred on Wednesday, November 29 at 7:55pm at Larry’s Steaks & Hoagies. The second incident occurred on Monday, December 11 7:26pm at the Dollar General.
Police described the first incident’s suspects as “a dark-complected black male wearing a black-colored hooded jacket” and “a dark-complected black male wearing a blue-colored Nike hooded jacket” armed with a sawed-off shotgun.
The second incident’s suspect was described as “a black male, 20 years old, 5’8″ to 5’10” tall, wearing a black-colored ski mask, gray-colored Addidas long sleeve shirt, black-colored pants, black-colored sneakers with white-colored socks” also armed with a sawed-off shotgun.

Please be sure to use the utmost caution when shopping at local stores during this holiday season, or, for that matter, anytime throughout the year, and report crimes in progress and suspicious activity to police immediately by calling 911 right away.
