The replacement of Montgomery County Bridge 269 (also known as the Sandy Run Bridge) on Easton Road in Abington Township will begin today, Monday, March 3, and continue through approximately November 7.

Easton Road is closed between Woodland Road and Pershing Avenue. A full detour will be in effect for the duration of the project, the county said.

The Keswick Avenue Bridge and the Easton Road Bridge will also see activity this week, Cheltenham Township officials said.

Between Monday and Thursday, SEPTA’s third-party contractor will have crews performing concrete repairs to the abutments at the Keswick Avenue Bridge. Work hours are 7:00am to 5:00pm, during which time there may be a need for parking restrictions and a sidewalk closure. There will be no impact to traffic.

Overnight Wednesday, March 5 into Thursday, March 6, there will be an overnight track outage (3 to 4 hours) for construction with minimal noise and/or light impacts.

Between Monday and Thursday, SEPTA’s third-party contractor will on site at Glenside Station prepping for platform repairs to the Easton Road Bridge. Work hours are 7:00am to 5:00pm. Operations at Glenside Station will be uninterrupted, though some parking spaces may not be available.
