Vendors and reflections on the year’s final market

The Glenside Farmer’s Market has brought local goods to town each Saturday since September 3, and it’s time for a seasonal curtain call.

“I thought this fall went as well as ever,” market manager Bob Musser said. “It seems like it’s getting better all the time. We had a lot of customer flow and pleasant weather. I’d like to thank all of the customers that came and supported us. Everyone who stopped by was great.”

1 West Glenside Avenue will feature hyperlocal growers and artisans for this weekend’s final market of 2022, including Heck of a CookieLone Wolf Farm Market, Herr Castle FarmsEndless Mountains MapleDomalviaSpring Honey Bees, Olive Lucy and Musser Family Farming.

Musser noted that pre-ordered Thanksgiving turkeys will be available for pickup, and a few extras will be available for purchase if customers arrive in time.

“They’re fresh and dressed on Friday. I have some extra breasts, legs, and maybe even some turkeys in case some folks missed out,” he said.

The market will be open on Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

“We’re hoping for no rain this Saturday. Cold we can deal with,” Musser said. “If everything goes right with SEPTA and the township, we’ll be ready to open back up the last Saturday in April.”
