The Upper Moreland Police Department announced that a report of a possible bear sighting in the Hatboro section of the township near Farmstead Park (2668 Byberry Road) was received this morning.

“We are monitoring the area and ask that residents in the surrounding neighborhoods check their security camera footage from late last night and early this morning for confirmation of the bear,” the township said in a News Flash.

The News Flash advises area residents to use caution in the area. If you do spot a bear, keep your distance and call 9-1-1 immediately.
