Plans for “Stage Left Bar,” former Dino’s, in the works

If you’ve been to a Keswick show or peered through the windows of the former Dino’s Backstage within the last few months, you may have noticed a few changes to the space.

Since Dino’s closure in 2019, 287 N Keswick Avenue has been leased by The Bowery Presents, an east coast concert promoter with venues in New York City, Boston, Atlanta and Maine. Bowery owns the Keswick and Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia.

The Keswick opened “Stage Left Bar,” a working title, in the beginning of October. A concrete plan for the space is forthcoming.

A construction crew knocked down the wall between the theater and the next-door bar area where the box office currently operates. A glance inside reveals that tables are out and available and the performance area is still intact.

Guests of the Keswick are now able to sit down and have a couple drinks before showtime, which has taken out some of the clutter in the lobby.

More details on the Keswick’s plans are expected sometime next year. Glenside Local will provide those details as they become available. Stay tuned.
