Upper Moreland Township officials announced that Phase II of the Willow Grove Shopping Center’s construction has been completed (or is very close to completion as of this writing).
Matthew Candland, township manager, said that Amazon Fresh is still planning to go into this space and is making additional improvements. He noted that the township does not have an anticipated date for their opening.
A Dave’s Hot Chicken restaurant will be one of the tenants in the new building.
“We have not yet heard who the other three to four tenants will be but expect to hear soon,” Candland said in a statement.
The 211,000 square-foot shopping center will feature newly designed walkways, street level vibrancy, updated public amenities, outdoor dining, and a “pocket” plaza in conjunction with the completion of an 18,000 square-foot outparcel building, according to Federal Realty Investment Trust, the property’s developer.
Construction crews broke ground for Phase II in December 2022.
Phase III will consist of a six-story, 260-unit apartment and mixed-use project with 20,000 square feet of streel-level retail and a structured parking garage.
