The Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust (PERT) in Upper Moreland Township is hosting their seventh annual Earth Day Trail Run on Saturday, April 26 at 9:00am at 2955 Edge Hill Road in Huntingdon Valley.
The event on Earth Day Weekend will include refreshments, prizes, and a mixed terrain course which runs through nature trails and begins and ends at the Trust’s headquarters. Participants can choose to run 10K or walk/run 5K or one mile.
For the first time, the 10K and 5K courses will include the June Fete Fairgrounds, one of the Trust’s newest acquisitions.

“Also new this year, with the help of the Southampton Library, the 1-mile course will be converted into a Tale Trail, housing a Story Stroll featuring The Tortoise and the Hare, which will be fun for kids and adults alike,” the Trust said.
The race will be professionally timed by the Bryn Mawr Racing Company. All proceeds will benefit PERT’s mission to protect 950+ acres of open space.
