Daniel Veres, owner of Hyacinth Studios LLC in Jenkintown, and colleague Tiffany Robertson are teaming up to host a series of photographer-centric outdoor photo-walks dubbed “The Keystone Lights”.
Their debut photo-walk, titled “Hallmark Moments in the City”, will take place from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on Saturday, December 21 beginning at Dilworth Park, heading across the street into Love Park, and finishing up at Rittenhouse Park.
The Love Park visit will include The Angela Everwood Band which performed at the Keswick Fall Festival.
“We’ll encourage participants to photograph them,” Veres told Glenside Local. “It’s artists helping artists.”
Veres plans to host the walks every other month at different locations in the tri-state area going forward.
“We have plans to expand for future walks. We’d like to move to Longwood Gardens, New York City, maybe even a small New Jersey or Delaware town,” Veres said. “People can expect creative challenges in a friendly way. A few photographers could discuss their setting for the day and encourage others to try it out. We want it to be a supportive community that helps each other grow in their skills.”
He and Robertson hope to host workshops sometime in the future as well.
“Photographers of any skill level can come in and be excited to get behind the camera again,” Veres said. “I’d like to inspire people of any age to take up the camera and have fun with it just as I did when I was a kid.”
To register, you can visit The Keystone Lights’ Instagram page and look for an email listed in the flyer. The page will announce the theme and date of each walk 48 hours in advance, Veres said. Limited spaces are available for the debut walk.
