Mr. Vincent P. Santarelli, Sr., a Wyncote resident, U.S. Navy Veteran, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 28 at Jefferson Abington Hospital in Abington. He was 84.

Following his service with the U.S. Navy, Mr. Santarelli served as a purchasing agent for Cheltenham Township for 40+ years, where he also played a key role in establishing Cheltenham’s Emergency Medical Services team, his obituary said.

Mr. Santarelli was a founder of the Glenside Chapter of Super Saturday, which benefitted Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and served as a Pennsylvania State Constable and founding member of the Pennsylvania State Constable’s Association. He was an active member of St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Glenside, according to his obituary.

A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 2 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Glenside. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM.
