Bánh Street, a popular Vietnamese-style sandwich shop once located at 1062 Tyson Avenue in Abington Township, is opening a version of its former self in Ambler.
The new location is called Rosey’s and will be at 58 East Butler Avenue.
After nearly seven years in business, the Abington shop closed in August 2021 due to Covid pressures.
The Ambler shop will be run by Bánh Street’s Chef Chad Rosenthal, a nationally recognized figure in the culinary world. According to his website, he has “graced various television shows, featuring on both local and national programs such as Food Network Star (twice), Chopped Grill Masters, Beat Bobby Flay (which he did), Good Morning America, and several others.”
He shared the following on Rosey’s website:
We’re passionate about creating Bánh Mì hoagies that celebrate simplicity and the freshness of the ingredients. Our Bánh Mì are more than just a sandwich – they’re a rich culinary symphony of umami, sweet, sour, salty, savory, flaky and aromatic…all in one bite. Join us at Rosey’s for a celebration of what we believe is the greatest sandwich in the world, by far— the Bánh Mì !
An opening date for the Ambler location has not been announced.
