New White House cat is locally named

A new First Cat resides in the White House. Willow, named for the Fist Lady Jill Biden’s home town, Willow Grove, is a 2 year old tabby cat the Biden’s adopted from a farm in Pennsylvania. The farm is located in Lawrence County.

Evidently the First Lady has a history with Willow, meeting the cat when it jumped on the stage at a 2020 campaign rally.

The last time there was a cat in the White House was under the presidency of George W. Bush in 2004.
