New murals planned for Keswick Avenue bridge, community design session scheduled for Feb. 18

The Glenside Civic Association announced that it has partnered with Arcadia University, Abington Township, and Cheltenham Township to create a new community mural project on both sides of the Keswick Avenue bridge.

Arcadia applied for and received a Campus250 grant from Campus Philly to support the project. The existing murals were in need of significant restoration following last summer’s SEPTA bridge repairs, the association said.

“Community input is essential to this project, and we invite you to help shape the design for ‘Glenside the Beautiful: Arcadia Celebrates the Semiquincentennial with Public Art’,” the association said in a post.

A community design session will take place on Wednesday, February 18 from 6:30–7:30pm at Arcadia’s Grey Towers Castle.
