Pi Bubble Tea, a shop at 258 N Keswick Avenue in Glenside’s Keswick Village (Abington Township), officially opened on August 23.
Ben, an owner and an Elkins Park (Cheltenham Township) resident, said the inspiration for the shop started with his family’s love for bubble tea.
“They enjoyed it so much that they went out of their way to learn how to make it themselves. I helped turn that passion into this shop, and it’s been incredibly meaningful to build something together as a family and share it with the community,” he said.
Pi Bubble Tea’s most popular drinks include brown sugar milk tea, classic bubble milk tea, taro milk tea, mango green tea, passion fruit green tea, and Thai tea latte, Ben said. The family chose Glenside because of its welcoming and diverse community.
“It felt like the perfect place to open a bubble tea shop and share something our family truly loves with our neighbors,” he said. “We hope our shop can be a cozy space where people can relax, enjoy a drink, and feel at home.”

According to Fortune Business Insights, bubble teas are among the fastest-expanding beverage categories in the United States. As the shop has gradually built a small group of loyal customers, Ben and his family are hoping to become a Keswick Village mainstay.
“A beloved little shop isn’t made overnight — it grows day by day, nurtured with love and care. We opened this bubble tea shop out of passion, and we’re deeply grateful for the warmth and support from our customers,” he said. “Many guests show more care for the shop than we could have ever imagined, and their encouragement truly keeps us going. Our shop is built with heart, and it wouldn’t exist without this wonderful community.”
The shop is open daily from 11:00am – 9:00pm. For more on Pi Bubble Tea, you can visit their Instagram page.
