Multiple crews extinguish basement fire in Roslyn

Roslyn Fire Company announced that multiple crews were dispatched at 3:18pm on Saturday for a basement fire in the 1100 block of Clemens Avenue in the Roslyn section of Abington Township.

According to their post, firefighters were on scene for approximately two hours conducting overhaul operations and breaking down after the fire had been extinguished.

“Incidents like this are a powerful reminder of how quickly an ordinary day can change, and how critical the response of trained firefighters and strong mutual aid partnerships truly is when every second counts,” the post said. “We are grateful for the coordinated efforts of all responding companies whose teamwork helped bring this incident to a safe conclusion. Our thoughts are with the homeowners as they work through the aftermath of this fire.”
