Mrs. Prudence Rebitz, Cheltenham grad, former Cheltenham Township employee, Parade Marshal, has passed away

Mrs. Prudence (Vergara) Rebitz, a 1973 Cheltenham High School graduate and former Cheltenham Township employee, passed away on Monday, January 6. She was 69.

Mrs. Rebitz was a lifelong resident of Cheltenham Village and was employed by Cheltenham Township in the Parks and Recreation Department. In 2015, she served as the Parade Marshal of the annual East Cheltenham Parade.

At Cheltenham High, Mrs. Rebitz served as a library aide, a girls’ chorus instructor, and as a member of the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA).

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 26 at Glenside’s Memorial Hall from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
