Mr. Ludwig “Lou” Pisch, a former Hatboro resident, a 1964 graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School, an Air Force Veteran, and former chief of the Enterprise Fire Company, passed away peacefully at his home in Florida on Saturday, March 7 after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was 81.
A Budweis, Czechoslovakia native, Mr. Pisch joined the Air National Guard of Pennsylvania in 1965 and earned a Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon and the Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Ribbon, his obituary said.
Following an honorable discharge in February 1972, Mr. Pisch joined the Enterprise Fire Company of Hatboro and through the ranks to become chief.

Lou began his career at Tinius Olsen Testing Machine Company where he worked for 48 years until his retirement in 2013. In his free time, Lou enjoyed working with his hands, creating stained glass windows, gardening, and spending time at the shooting range. He also loved volunteering in Sea Isle City, educating visitors about the history of the area—a passion he cherished throughout his life.
Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Saturday, March 28 after 10:00am in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro and are invited to attend his funeral service at 11:00am. His interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lou’s name may be made to the Enterprise Fire Company, 36 Byberry Road, Hatboro, PA 19040.
