Mr. Edward “Ed” C. Hussie, a Bishop McDevitt High School (Cheltenham Township) graduate, attorney and Chief Legal Counsel for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, passed away on Sunday, January 18 at his home in Harrisburg. He was 81.

Following his days in Wyncote, Mr. Hussie earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from LaSalle University and a Juris Doctor from Dickinson College of Law. He served the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for over 40 years, his obituary said.

“He was deeply passionate about his work and devoted his career to improving the lives of families across the state. Former Pennsylvania State Representative Sam Rohrer once remarked, ‘He has inspired, enriched, and enabled not only the members of this House but causes involving families and children.'”, his obituary said.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family at Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
