Montco swears in new Assistant District Attorney Jordan Rhone, lawyer, actor & filmmaker

Montgomery County’s new Assistant District Attorney Jordan Rhone was sworn in on Tuesday, July 18 by Judge Virgil B. Walker and Deputy District Attorney/Chief of Trials Thomas W. McGoldrick.

Rhone, a native of Altoona, PA, is a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania and currently sits on the Cybersecurity/Data Privacy, Technology, Government Lawyers, Corrections System, & Civil Rights committees of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Penn State Law. In 2018, he graduated cum laude from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Policy and Administration.

In 2020, he was appointed to the U.S. Selective Service board representing Pennsylvania and started the advocacy group Arc of Justice PA.


Rhone is also an actor and filmmaker. He writes, directs, and produces independently. One of his projects, a comedy about the COVID-19 pandemic, won “Best Film” at a South Carolina film competition in 2020. He also wrote and directed the true crime documentary, “How to Kill a Carl.”
