Montgomery County officials announced a $45 million investment to connect the Cross County Trail in Willow Grove with the Wissahickon, SEPTA’s Fort Washington Station, the Willow Grove YMCA, and the Power Line trails in Horsham, Mainline Media News reported.

In May, officials proposed “major funding” for the Cross County Trail. Eventually, the completed 17.5-mile trail will connect Willow Grove with the Wissahickon Green Ribbon Trail, which will grant access to Fort Washington State Park, Morris Arboretum, and Fairmount Park in Philadelphia.
