Montco DA investigating fatal crash following potential retail theft, three pronounced dead

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele announced today an investigation into a fatal crash that occurred at approximately 9:15pm on Tuesday, June 3 in Limerick Township.

According to the report, Limerick police received a 911 call regarding a potential theft in progress at the Target store on Ridge Pike in Royersford at 9:06pm. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle that was associated with the potential theft, the vehicle fled, at which point the driver lost control and crashed in the 300 block of Ridge Pike.

Two males and a female were pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth male was transported to Temple University Hospital, the DA said. Their names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
