The Montgomery County Commissioners today announced the launch of a Business Breakthrough initiative designed to grow the local workforce by helping businesses innovate while attracting and retaining employees.  

Run by the Montgomery County Commerce Department, Business Breakthrough will begin a series of roundtable discussions this spring to discuss trends and challenges in the local economy. Participants will have the opportunity to share insights, strategies, and best practices.

The first discussion will be at 11:30am on Wednesday, April 2 at the Community Partners Center in Colmar and will feature Craig Edsill, CEO of Clemens Food Group in Hatfield Township.

“We’re excited to launch Business Breakthrough Initiative, a platform for business leaders to share ideas and tools for managing the uncertainties in the market today,” said Neil K. Makhija, Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. “The underlying goal is to ensure Montgomery County remains a place where we have world-class businesses that are creating jobs here while participating in the global economy and innovating across a variety of sectors.” 

The Business Breakthrough sessions are open to local business owners, executives, and stakeholders interested in contributing to and benefiting from these strategic discussions. Attendance is free but space is limited.
