Sangita Shrestha and her husband Radha opened Bhatti Indian Cuisine at 835 Glenside Avenue in Wyncote (Cheltenham Township) on November 27.
She said business at the new restaurant has been going well so far.
“People in this area like Indian food and we want to show our base what we can do,” said Shrestha, an Upper Darby resident and registered nurse who immigrated from Nepal two years ago.
Sangita and Radha launched Ekta Indian Cuisine in Philadelphia roughly three years ago. They chose to open Bhatti Indian Cuisine in the Glenside area through a friend’s recommendation.
“I have a friend in Huntingdon Valley and she invited me to see the location. We liked it and we wanted to try it out,” she said.
Bhatti Indian Cuisine’s specialties include their chicken tikka marsala, lamb tikka marsala, paner korma, garlic naan, lamb pindalo, and kadai paner.
Bhatti is BYOB and offers dine-in, takeout, and delivery. Hours:
- Sunday — Thursday: 11 AM – 9 PM
- Friday — Saturday: 11 AM – 9:30 PM
