About Pre-K Counts

MCIU was awarded the Pre-K Counts grant on January 8, 2016. The grant allows us to deliver high-quality pre-kindergarten programs to 475 age-appropriate children at no cost to income eligible families in Montgomery County.

Children must be between age three and the entry age for kindergarten and living in families earning up to 300 percent of the poverty level (see poverty guidelines below). Children may also be impacted by other risk factors, such as English Language Learners, family in the welfare system, or having disabilities or developmental delays.
