McCarter: State Doles out more than $2 Million in Grants to County Agencies

Representative Steve McCarter’s office is announcing several state grants awarded to area agencies through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency.

The statewide funding through the PCCD is designated to help improve the justice system and to make communities safer for all citizens.

The Women’s Center of Montgomery County in Elkins Park was allotted $366,228 toward the Domestic Violence Core Services through the Victims of Crime Act.

These agencies exist to help our citizens and victims of crime, to educate and improve our communities. It’s great news for everybody in that this funding continues to empower victims of abuse and other crimes.

Besides the grant awarded to the Domestic Violence Core Services, the state doled out another $1,657,475 in social-service-related grants to other Montco communities.
