Man sentenced 7.5 to 15 years in prison for purchasing guns for multi-county gun trafficking organization

Asad Sayed, 28, of Philadelphia, was sentenced to 7.5 to 15 years in prison for purchasing four guns for the leaders of a multi-county gun trafficking organization, Mainline Media News reported.

Sayed pleaded guilty to charges of corrupt organizations, dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, selling firearms to ineligible persons and unsworn falsification to authorities in connection with incidents that occurred between January 2023 and April 2024.

He was part of a gun and drug trafficking organization that illegally bought and sold 19 firearms in Montgomery, Delaware, Chester and Philadelphia counties, in addition to selling multiple illegal substances including methamphetamine and cocaine.

Earlier this year, Bella Skylar Kenna, 22, and her boyfriend, Scott Michael Grondin, 43, were each sentenced 20 to 40 years in prison for orchestrating the purchases, sales, and the distribution of the drugs and firearms.
