The Lower Moreland Township Police Department announced today the arrest of Armand Xhelo, 43, for being found in possession of cocaine and marijuana in the Huntingdon Valley area.
According to the report, an officer saw Xhelo entering a driveway in the area of Red Lion Road on March 9 at approximately 1:24am, at which point he fled on foot after noticing the officer’s vehicle.
A subsequent search revealed a cigarette pack containing a clear plastic baggie with marijuana and a clear zip-lock baggie with a white substance, later identified as cocaine, a Pennsylvania Schedule II substance.
Xhelo was detained and taken into custody after a bench warrant was confirmed by the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Department. He was then charged with the following:
- (1) COUNT OF 780-113 A16 INTENTIONAL POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE BY
- (1) COUNT OF 780-113 A31I POSSESSION OF SMALL AMOUNT OF MARIJUANA
- (1) COUNT OF 780-113 A32 USE/POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
In 2023, Xhelo was arrested for assaulting police officers—among other charges—outside of the Wawa at 2500 Philmont Avenue in Huntingdon Valley.
