Man arrested for Huntingdon Valley storage facility burglary

Johnny Collado was arrested by the Lower Moreland Township Police Department for a September 25 burglary at a storage facility on Philmont Avenue in Huntingdon Valley.

According to police, staff had reported that a male entered the secured loading dock area in a silver Toyota when another uninvolved vehicle exited.

Staff stated the male parked his vehicle, then took the elevator to the second floor where he broke the locking mechanism on a storage unit using a crowbar. The male took several items from the storage unit, placed them on one of the facilities’ carts, put them in his vehicle and left.

Further investigation revealed Collado as the suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On October 25, Collado was taken into custody by Newtown Police Department after he was stopped for a traffic violation. Lower Moreland Police Officers then took Collado into custody for the local warrant.
