Man arrested for assault, threats, property damage after being let go by employer

The Lower Moreland Police Department recently announced the arrest of Robert Katilas, 45, for assault and related charges.

At approximately 8:30am on October 11, officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Philmont Avenue in Huntingdon Valley for a disturbance at a business. Officers were advised that a terminated employee—Katilas—returned and was threatening the owner.

After issuing threats in the owner’s office, Katilas proceeded to damage property valued at approximately $300. Multiple employees witnessed the threats and damage, police said.

Katilas’ charges include:
