LSCHS wins 9th consecutive outdoor track & field Catholic League Championship

The La Salle College High School track & field team captured their 9th consecutive Pennsylvania Catholic League Championship at Cardinal O’Hara High School on Saturday, May 11.

The Explorers’ winning 154 points bested second place’s score by 84 points. The title adds to the team’s dominance in the PCL, which includes nine consecutive indoor titles and eight consecutive Cross Country titles, a run which began in May 2015.  

Junior Gavin Muller captured Field Events MVP after winning the Discus and placing third in both the Shot Put and the High Jump.

The team will now prepare for the PIAA District 12 Championship, to be held on Wednesday and Thursday at Northeast High School. The PIAA State Championships will be held on Memorial Day Weekend at Shippensburg University.
