Lower Moreland, Upper Moreland, Hatboro police release details of 5 recent arrests

Police departments in greater Glenside have released the details of five recent arrests:

Petro Gjini (above left)

Lower Moreland police officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of Huntingdon Pike in Huntingdon Valley on July 26 at approximately 1:00am for a report of a male slumped over the wheel of his car. 

Upon arrival, officers observed a red Subaru sedan in a business’ parking lot blocking one of the exits. Gjini, 34, was found in the driver’s seat, apparently unconscious.

After further investigation, the male was found to be in possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a prohibited weapon.

His charges are as follows:

  • (1) COUNT OF 908 A PROHIBITED OFFENSIVE WEAPONS
  • (1) COUNT OF 3802 D2 DUI – INFLUENCE OF DRUG OR COMB OF DRUGS
  • (1) COUNT OF 780-113 A32 USE / POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA

Joseph Fitzgerald (above right)

Hatboro officers responded to a business at 330 S Warminster Road where a firearm was recovered on July 29.

After an investigation, Fitzgerald, 42, who has previous criminal convictions which prohibit him from possessing firearms, was arrested for firearm possession.

His charges are as follows:

  • (1)- TITLE 18 6105 (A)(1) PERSONS NOT TO POSSESS (F1)
  • (1 COUNT) (18) 6106 (A)(1) FIREARMS NOT TO BE CARRIED W/O LICENSE (F3)

Ahjhae Edwards

Upper Moreland officers arrested Edwards, 24, of Philadelphia Retail Theft on July 28 at 5:22pm.

According to police, Edwards is accused of stealing $165 worth of grocery items from the Walmart at 2101 Blair Mill Road in Willow Grove.

Tyler Letrinko

Letrinko, 30, of Norristown was arrested by Upper Moreland officers on August 1 at 2:44pm for Retail Theft.

He is accused of stealing a laptop computer from the Best Buy at 1130 Easton Road in Willow Grove by concealing it in his pants and leaving the store. The computer was valued at $1500, police said. 

Michael Johns

Johns, 55, of Philadelphia was arrested by Upper Moreland officers on July 28 at 1:17pm for Retail Theft.

He is accused of stealing $155 worth of household items from the Walmart at 2101 Blair Mill Road in Willow Grove.
